On September 6, 2021, NovaTris and the Chair of Interculturalities of the Université de Haute-Alsace (UHA) presented to a group of experts of the workpackage 5.4. their progress concerning the development of a training of trainers in intercultural accompaniment for the 8 partner universities of the EPICUR Alliance.
In February 2021, research workshops allowed a group of researchers, teachers and administrative staff of EPICUR working in the field of interculturality to meet online. Together, they co-constructed their own definition of interculturality.
In the autumn of 2021, the results of these research workshops will build the basis of a quantitative survey addressed to all the member universities of the EPICUR Alliance. This survey will aim at confirming the results of the research workshops at the level of the alliance and to provide material for the development of a training of trainers in intercultural accompaniment.
The training of trainers in intercultural accompaniment will start with a first training session in March 2022 and will continue in 2022 with a further accompaniment whose format will be defined with the experts. The whole training will be developped on basis of all the research results previously obtained. The “EPIcoaches” trained in this framework will then be able to provide intercultural accompaniment sessions within their universities in accordance with the framework defined by the experts of the workpackage 5.4. of EPICUR.
Within the framework of this project, NovaTris is closely collaborating with the Chair in Interculturalities and with the Office of International, European & Cross-Border Affairs of the UHA, as these 3 departments are respectively responsible for the pedagogical design, research and coordination of the project.
